Getting Started
How do I make my first call? +
Sign up at console.wangyan.ai, add credits to your account, enter a phone number, select languages, and click call. The whole process takes under a minute.
Do I need to install anything? +
No. Make calls directly from your browser. Works on Chrome, Edge, and Safari on both desktop and mobile.
What equipment do I need? +
Just a computer or phone with a microphone and speaker. A headset is recommended for the best experience, but built-in mic and speakers work fine.
Can I call from my phone? +
Yes. Open console.wangyan.ai in your mobile browser — it works on iOS Safari and Android Chrome. No app download needed.
Do I need a special phone number? +
No. You dial any regular phone number through our web interface. The other person receives a normal phone call — they don't need WangYan.
Translation & Languages
How fast is the translation? +
Translation happens almost instantly. You hear the translated voice right after the other person speaks, making conversations feel natural and fluid.
What languages are supported? +
We support 70+ languages including English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Arabic, Hindi, and many more.
Can I switch languages mid-call? +
The language pair is set when you start the call. If you need a different language, you can end and redial with the new setting — it takes just seconds.
How accurate is the translation? +
We use state-of-the-art AI models optimized for conversational speech. Accuracy varies by language pair but is generally excellent for business and everyday conversations.
Does it handle accents and dialects? +
Our AI is trained on diverse speech patterns and handles most common accents well. For best results, speak clearly at a moderate pace.
Can it translate technical or industry terms? +
Yes. The AI handles business, legal, medical, and technical vocabulary well. It uses context to select the right translation for specialized terms.
Pricing & Billing
How does pricing work? +
You purchase credits and pay per minute of call time. No monthly subscriptions required. Rates vary by destination country.
Is there a free trial? +
Yes. New accounts receive free credits to try the service. No credit card required to get started.
Can I get a refund for unused credits? +
We do not offer refunds for purchased credits. Please contact support if you have any questions.
Do credits expire? +
Yes. Credits are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase.
How much does a typical call cost? +
Costs vary by destination. Check the pricing page for country-specific rates. Credits are charged per minute of call time.
Can I set a spending limit? +
Yes. Organization admins can set credit limits per team member to control spending. You'll receive notifications when credits run low.
Call Quality & Recording
Are calls recorded? +
Yes, both original and translated audio are recorded. You can review, download, and share recordings from your dashboard.
Can I disable recording? +
Recording settings can be managed from your account dashboard. Contact support if you need custom privacy configurations for your organization.
What if the call quality is poor? +
Call quality depends on your internet connection and the phone network of the person you're calling. We recommend a stable broadband or 4G/5G connection for the best experience.
How long are recordings stored? +
Recordings are stored securely in your account and available for download anytime. There is no automatic deletion — you control when to remove them.
Security & Privacy
Is my data secure? +
All calls are encrypted. Recordings are stored securely and only accessible to authorized users in your organization. We follow enterprise-grade security practices.
Where is my data stored? +
Data is stored on secure cloud servers with encryption at rest and in transit. We comply with industry-standard data protection practices.
Does WangYan listen to my calls? +
No. AI processes speech in real-time for translation only. We do not monitor, review, or use your call content for training purposes.
